The pastime of making flip books as a young’un was honed into a skill with the frame-by-frame animation feature in Macromedia Flash. Enthusiasm for this digital medium grew when a bunch of like-minded friends got together to start a design firm called Flogic during the late nineties.
Ajay Karat got his big break as an animator when he started working at jadooWorks Animation Studio (Bangalore, India) on ¡Mucha Lucha!, one of the first Flash-animated series on US Network TV.
Desiring to understand the methodology of visual communication, Ajay Karat furnished his artistic proficiency with a Master of Arts, specializing in Animation, a course in “Understanding Communication” by Peter Colaco (Visiting professor at Indian Institute of Management and Marketing Director, HTA) and an Animaster Certified Professional accreditation.
Ajay Karat has worked with clients such as Disney – Wildbrain Production, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, [adult swim], GameTap , NFL, PBS, Saban Entertainment and Radical Publishing.
